Earlier tonight, as I was helping Josie, Pascal, and Katie move stuff from That 70s House, a stray dog came up and started sniffing Henry (their dog). We got nervous at first, but this little white ball of scruff was incredibly friendly and just wanted some noms. We gave him some pasta and he ate it super hungrily, and was aaabsolutely adorable. So…we had no choice but to keep him there for now.
I’ve named him Scrappers because he has a big cut on his nose, like he’s been in a bad fight. :( He’s quite a dirty pup right now, but I cuddled him and Josie gave him a bed, and I pet him for ages. He now trusts me enough to sit in my lap and he doesn’t leave my side when I’m around. He is SO sweet and just stares in your eyes or rolls on his back for a tummy rub. :D I absolutely adore him.
He’s in the backyard at their house currently, and I am desperately trying to find some way to keep him (the Aspens doesn’t allow people to house dogs, otherwise I would definitely keep him). If you or anybody you know is willing (and responsible/kind/smart enough) to take in a dog, I will pay for the vaccinations, food, and amenities that he needs…I just do not want to take him to a shelter and leave him there. Just…no. He trusted us and now we need to find him a good home.
Tomorrow, though, I’m going to take him to file paperwork for him and start posting “Found Dog” posters around…hopefully he has a nice family that is searching for him right now, and he just mistakenly got out. I would want somebody to try and find me if they had found my dog, and I would especially hope they’d take care of my dog in the mean time…so that is what I shall do!
I’m actually debating trying to find somebody to dog-sit him for a few months (and I’d pay the bills for him!) until I can take him back to New York with me. He seems to get along very well with other dogs, he doesn’t bark or bite, and he’s quite well-trained.
Let me know, please! <3
