Rock ‘n’ roll, America.

Rock ‘n’ roll, America.

The amount of people I’ve heard discussing (meh, that’s not the right word for it… claiming?  demanding?) protesting/rioting in the past few weeks whom I know would probably not so much as attend a single protest if given the chance (let alone organize one) always amazes me.  I’m not saying that I’m some sort of badass who does, but at least I don’t go around pretending I would if oooonly I were given the chance.  Today, on my dashboard (as well as on Facebook, o’course), I counted 7 posts (in less than a few hours, and trust me, there were pleeeenty of posts in between each check) of people boasting how much they wish they could have the chance to go wild in the streets or how they totally are going to do that; perhaps I’m a skeptic, but I’ll see it when I believe it.  I mean, say whatever floats y’all’s boats, but I just have this strong feeling that it’s a passing phase of outrage for the time being.  Jealousy of others’ outrage and motivation.  It happens, I s’pose, but stop pretending you’re not just as numb and apathetic in behavior as the rest of our generation.
The LA/NY Hipster Riots shirts: coming to an Urban Outfitters sale section near you.  Sigh.
P.S. Oy, this is the part where you angrily assume I’m directing this at you (though I can name 15+ people this applies to that I know), haha.  Now, get overly offended, reblog in a sassy manner, and then comfort yourself with some reassurance that, of course, I must be wrong about you.
Wink!

Yours Bluely

I taught myself to survive a four-story fall.

Sam, 22, native New Yorker living in southern California. Not for the faint of heart (though my life is mostly tl;dr). I dig avocado, rant often, and have excessive levels of empathy in my system. Fondu au noir.

-I do makeup for film, photography, events, etc.
-I would love to do yours: Portfolio//Contact info.
-Sometimes I write about serious things.
-I'm moving to Brooklyn in one month; see "Things I Will Miss In California" for more on that.

Self-centered bitterness, now on Twitter.

Go for it.
